PIACE's First Annual May Day / Festa dei Lavoratori brings together creators, performers, writers, and makers for a two-day gathering at Stand4 Gallery.
May Day, or Festa dei Lavoratori, has long honored workers and collective effort. We are building on that tradition by creating space for cultural work that reflects identity, history, and lived experience, and by bringing together the people actively shaping it.
The gathering begins on Friday evening with a social reception and a limited program of performances and activities.
On Saturday, the full event unfolds as the gallery and backyard come to life as an active, shared environment.
The gallery will be set up with tables where work can be browsed and purchased, alongside books, prints, objects, and food and drink. Performances, readings, and talks will take place in the outdoor space throughout the day, with screenings incorporated into the program. The day continues into the evening with a backyard afterparty and DJ.
Want to exhibit at the event?
We are looking for vendors, performers, writers, poets, filmmakers, and food and drink vendors to take part. This includes those selling original work, sharing books, performing live, reading, or screening films.
We are intentionally bringing together a group of participants who align with this vision. If this resonates with you and your work, we encourage you to apply.
