Who is PIACE for? Do I need to be Italian-American to join?
PIACE is for anyone interested in Italian-American culture. We're an inclusive, welcoming community that creates space for mixed-heritage families, queer community members, younger generations, and those seeking cultural connections that feel current and genuine.
What kind of programs and events does PIACE offer?
We currently host a monthly lecture series at venues like the John D. Calandra Italian American Institute, a monthly social gathering called Tavola Aperta, and events like our annual May Day Festa. Your membership helps us build from here with hands-on workshops, collaborative projects, and creative programming where we make new culture together.
Is PIACE offering memberships right now?
Not yet. PIACE is currently focused on building its organizational foundation. Formal memberships may become part of our future structure once we have the systems in place to support them responsibly.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Donations made through Fractured Atlas for the purposes of PIACE are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Donations through GoFundMe may not carry the same tax-deductible structure.
How can I get involved?
PIACE is an all-volunteer organization. Donations keep us going, but so do the people who show up ready to roll up their sleeves, just like Nonna and Nonno did.
